At TMF Cake Designs, every custom cake is crafted to reflect your story, your style, and your special moment. We specialise in bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, designed and baked fresh in our Blackwater studio. From handcrafted sugar flowers to decadent flavour combinations, each creation is made to impress both visually and on the palate.

How the Process Works

1. Submit Your Enquiry

Fill out the form below with your event details, design ideas, and any inspiration you’d like to share. Theresa will personally review your enquiry and respond by email.
2. Book a Design Call

If your design requires a little more detail, Theresa will invite you to book a free Design Call to chat through your ideas, requirements and inspiration.
3. Custom Proposal

Once the details are confirmed, you’ll receive a personalised proposal with flavour options, design sketches (if applicable), and tailored pricing.
4. Secure Your Date

When you’re ready to move forward with your custom proposal, simply pay your Save the Date deposit, and your dream cake will be booked in to Theresa's calendar.

Important Things For You to Know

Ordering Timeframes

Due to the intricate nature of most custom cakes, as well as the time it takes to order and receive different cake design elements and that I use great quality ingredients, I do require 6-12 months notice for a custom cake order, minimum.

Starting Prices for Custom Cakes

A Single tier cake, serving 30 people, starts from $550
A Two tier cake, serving 50, starts from $950

If you are looking for something under this price or your event or celebration and is less than 12 weeks away, please explore my range of Classic Cakes & Desserts. These are just as delicious as a custom cake, but because they are not bespoke designs, they can be made sooner and for a smaller budget. Plus you can purchase them directly through the website.

Custom Quotes

After you have filled out the above form and had your Design Call, I will send you an email with a custom quote that is based on all of the information provided by you.

At this point, if you're happy with your proposed cake design and price, you'll be asked to pay a Non-refundable 25% booking fee to secure your custom cake.

This commitment will allow me to proceed with a more detailed design of your cake, emails, phone consults, and a whole lot of inspirational love. This booking fee will be taken off your final invoice.

It is also at this stage that you can request changes to your proposal before locking it in.

Design Changes & Timeframes

I know that ideas can change and I always do my best to be flexible with that. After signing off on your cake design, we can still make some changes if you need us to, but I do require the following:

One month notice for large changes
Two weeks notice for smaller changes

All changes will need to be requested in writing, and I'll do my best to accommodate them.

Cake Flavours & How to Choose

I have a lot of delicious cake flavours for you to choose from. You can see them all on my website. Please have a look at these prior to our call and we can then discuss your preferences. You can also pre-order a Cake Tasting Box online. My cake taster pack consists of 6 flavours, and the slices are large enough for two people. It's the perfect way to narrow down your favourites.
